The weather is heating up already in Christmas and it’s only September. We’re looking forward to a wonderful Christmas season!
Over the Christmas and New Year period, Redcliffe tends to see an influx of visitors here to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, relax, and spend time visiting family and friends. If you’re planning to visit Redcliffe this Christmas, here’s what you should check out:
Christmas Lights Competition
Throughout Brisbane, each year, there are several Christmas lights competitions. There’s nothing like driving around and hunting down some of the best decorated homes in the city to get you in the mood for Christmas. Redcliffe and surrounding suburbs usually puts on a great show, with several prize-winning or notable homes in the area.
Redcliffe Santa Sleigh
If you’re here at the right time, you might just hear a “ho ho ho” in the streets. Santa himself goes for a ride in his sleigh up most of the local streets, spreading Christmas cheer, music, and handing out lollies.
Christmas By The Sea
At Scarborough Beach Park on the 5th of December, 2015, from 5pm-9pm, enjoy Christmas by the Sea. With markets, jumping castles, lights, carols by candlelight, and fireworks… you and your family will remember this event for years to come.
Scarborough New Years Eve Celebration
There’s no need to travel into Brisbane for fun on New Years Eve. Stay in Redcliffe for fireworks off the beach at Scarborough at midnight. The vibe is casual, expectant, and exciting!
Shopping Centre Events
Many of the local shopping centres have their own special local programs over the holiday period, so make sure you check online or in-store for details. Great entertainment for kids! It’s also worth mentioning that over the holiday period, many local retailers offer extended hours just before Christmas so you can get your last minute Christmas shopping done.
